Mar 10 – Quick Looks: Yanks Cruise 7-1 over Reds

ball-glove-png(Tampa, FL) – The Yankee bats went at it again for another 14 hits, this time off of Cincinnati pitching.  Joba gets the win after going 3 innings and giving up 3 hits and 1 run as the Yanks cruised to a 7-1 win at home over the Reds.  Juan Miranda and Shelley Duncan (3 RBI’s) went deep and Cody Ransom and Brett Gardner went 2-3.

In other news GM Brian Cashman went on record stating that a trade for a 3rd baseman was unlikely and they would probably source the position until A-Rod returns with what they have in camp.

Around the league, the Red Sox signed 19 players to 1-year deals and the Mets apparently will not be signing Pedro Martinez, perhaps signaling the end of a storied career for the hurler.
