Jun 20 – Looking for Consistency: Yanks Take Aim on The Road

baseball4(New York, NY) – After losing 2 of 3 with the Nationals, the Yanks bounced back on the road taking Florida 5-1 and hope to keep the momentum.  They ended up 3-3 on the home stand and than includes the flub by Castillo or it could have been worse.  So over the last 10 they are 4-6 and just need to get that roll going again.

Joba had another tough start with too many pitches, Wang looked improved but things remain questionable in the back end of the rotation.  Andy pitched well against the Marlins.    A-Rod takes to the bench for a few games to get some rest and hopefully play better when he returns given his current slump and low batting average.

But this post is intended to open up any comments on the team as they move along in the first half of the season.

  1. The Yankees looked okay so far but nothing special yet!! Their bullpen is kind of unsettled for the most part until Brian Bruney came back and Chien-Ming Wang doesn’t performed well in his next start I want to see Phil Hughes back into the rotation even though he peformed great out of the bullpen at this moment!!!

  2. A-Rod really needed to take this rest a lot earlier, from my understanding it was more Cashman’s idea to rest him, rather than Girardi’s. So far the Yankees have for the most part looked okay-good this season, they surely could be better, but they could be worse (2008).
