Apr 29 – Keeping Pace: Yanks Defeat O’s 4-0, Take Another Series

Head Home After 5-4 Road Trip

(Baltimore MD) – The Yanks made sure they did not lose the series and behind the red-hot Robbie Cano (who pounded 2 more homers on Thursday and is batting .407) put away the rubber match game vs. Baltimore.  AJ Burnett pitched very well allowing 3 hits over 8 innings before Mariano finished up the 9th.  The Yanks kept pace with Tampa, who continues to play well, and sit 2 back with a game in hand.  At 14-7 with 1 game left in April it is a very good start for the Bombers.  Andy Pettitte takes the mound in the home series opener with the White Sox.
